June 7 2026 SwimRun Route Guide

Start Time: 7:30 AM | Start Date: 6/7/26

This is a 1 loop course that is approximately 8 kilometers long (~5 miles). There are about 6km of running and 2km of swimming. No Course Markings, it is your responsibility to know the course!

Course talk at 7:20. We will need 1 volunteer kayaker/SUP-er to patrol the crossing to crown point, but it is unlikely there will be any boat traffic. Please message Coach Bob Gally on Facebook or by email coach@triathelites.com , if you can SUP/kayak for the event.

Route Map

Swim 1 - 0.15 miles (250m) The shortest crossing from Bahia hotel parking to Vacation Island, WATCH FOR BOATS. Then run left around the island to swim 2.

Swim 1 POV

Swim 2 - 0.15 miles (150m) From Vacation Island to Crown Point on the far side of the bridge. Enter after rock wall ends. WATCH FOR BOATS (shouldn't be any). Go left under bridge on the run.

Swim 3 - 0.2 miles (280m) The Fanuel Park buoy line from water fountain to beached boats. Exit: go to the right of the boats before continuing around the bay to the left.

Swim 4 - 0.13 miles (200m) Swim instead of bridge. Sighting: go around the only buoy marking an underground pipe. Continue running towards Catamaran hotel dock.

Swim 5 - .45 miles (700m) Before the Catamaran Dock, enter the water and aim for the rec center. aim LEFT of the buildings and there will be stairs. From there run along the beach south towards the rowing buildings.

Swim 6 - 0.1 miles (150m) Isthmus to Isthmus. Sighting: It gets deep quickly, watch out for any wayward rowers! After Exit, follow the BAYSIDE sidewalk south towards Santa Barbara Cove. (Don't cross this ithsmus. Instead, go towards Mission beach, turn south on bayside sidewalk).

Swim 7 - 0.1 miles (150m) across Santa Barbara Cove to the park behind the Bahia hotel. keep LEFT of the trees and run along the grass back to the finish!
